Pitt Chemical & Sanitary Supply is a 75 year old, third generation, family owned company. We are located in the heart of the Pittsburgh Strip District at 2537 Penn Avenue. Our office and warehouse includes five floors totaling approximately 50,000 square feet. Our three full size trucks are equipped with lift gates to assist in delivering to multiple counties around the greater Pittsburgh markets.
Pitt Chemical employs 25 full time professionals. Our team includes a sales manager, office manager, buyer, three (3) customer service employees, a warehouse coordinator, two (2) full time truck drivers, two (2) warehousemen, thirteen (13) sales consultants and two (2) part time sales consultants. Out of the 25 employees only 4 have been with our establishment for under 10 years, eleven (11) of our employees have been with us for twenty (20) plus years.
Pitt Chemical is financially sound. Our building and our fleet are wholly owned. This assists us in utilizing purchasing discounts which enables us to remain competitive in our market.
Our employees and their knowledge of this industry along with our vendor partnerships remain our greatest strengths and most important assets. The Sanitary Supply Industry ranks the four largest chemical manufacturers as follows: Johnson's Wax, Spartan Chemical, Butchers, and 3M. Pitt Chemical represents Johnson's Wax, Spartan Chemical and 3M along with a private label under the name of Triple S.
Paper products we represent include Bay West, Georgia Pacific, and we access Kimberly Clark as needed. Our maintenance equipment lines are Nobles/Tennant, Minuteman, as well as the Triple S private label line.
Triple S is a nationwide network of sanitary supply distributors with over 175 locations throughout the U.S. Being a member for 30 years allows us discount purchasing on over 4,000 commodity products.
Almost all manufacturer representatives reside in the greater Pittsburgh area. Most importantly, they are accessible for assistance to Pitt Chemical personnel for customized training.
